PLD Target Holders and Manipulators
DCA provides a wide range of target holders and manipulators for pulsed laser deposition systems. The target holders have magnetically coupled rotary drives for target indexing and target rotation.
The target holders are fully ultra high vacuum compatible and can be baked
up to 200 oC.
The target holders are provided with a water cooled shield which exposes one target at a time to the pulsed laser beam. The shield also protects the targets from heat radiated from the sample.
The optional stepper motor drives allow computer controlled target indexing, adjustable target rotation speed and programmable scanning of the target under the laser beam. The dual stepper motor controller for the target manipulator comes with a LabView based program for computer operation.
Multi-target holders:
6 x 2" with NW250CF (12.5" CF) connecting flange
6 x 1" with NW200CF (10" CF) connecting flange
4 x 2" with NW200CF (10" CF) connecting flange
4 x 1" with NW150CF (8" CF) connecting flange
3 x 2" with NW150CF (8" CF) connecting flange
3 x 1" with NW100CF (6" CF) connecting flange
The DCA PLD 500 system is normally equipped with 6 x 2" or 6 x 1" target holder.
The in-vacuum length of the target holder can be adjusted depending on the system.
